About this Event

Joining a Team programme has changed young people's lives. Young people like you. It will not be easy, but it will be fun.

  • You'll meet new people and work with them on different challenges
  • You'll fund-raise and run a project that make a real difference in your community
  • Take part in loads of training to help write a stand out CV and ace interviews
  • Receive two weeks work experience.
  • Team is nothing like school or college, but you will learn loads.
  • It looks great on your CV
  • Impress future employers, with nationally recogniseded qualifications you can go for

The Prince's Trust is a charity all our training and support is free and open to 16 -25 year olds not in full time work, education or training.

Teams run regularly across the region, so register your interest to find out when and where the next one starts near you and we will be in touch.

Details of the training

Day 1: Taster session

You’ll meet the rest of the team and the staff who will be running the programme. This is an informal getting to know you session to see if Team is right for you.

Week 1: Selection Week

You’ll take part in a range of different activities during the week, in the team room and online where we can start to plan for your development.

Week 2: Outbound activities

This week is all about building the team and new experiences. You’ll take part in a range of activities to help you develop as a team and an individual.

Weeks 3-6: Community Project

As a team you’ll choose a community project to complete , this will give you real life experience of employability skills.

Weeks 7-8: Work placement

This is a great chance to use the employability skills you developed on your community project and test out a career you might be interested in.

Week 9: Next Steps

This will help plan where you would like to be after completing the Team Programme. We’ll have guest speakers, CV sessions, mock interviews and careers advisors.

Weeks 10-11: Team Challenge

Your team will select a local community group to support. You’ll need to fundraise and organise events, bringing together all the skills you have developed though the Team Programme.

Week 12: Final Presentation

This is an opportunity for you and your team to celebrate all of your successes and accomplishments over the 12 weeks. You won’t believe how far you’ve come!
