PRI's annual Teacher Resource Day on Saturday, October 12th, from 9 am to 12:30 pm, at the Museum of the Earth has tables full of free fossil and geological specimens and other educational materials for teachers to use in their classrooms. The event is free and exclusively for teachers. This year's giveaway will include resources from two gifts to PRI specifically for Teacher Resource Day:

Glassware and other lab materials from Wells College which closed in June of this year.
In addition to the resource giveaway, there are tours of PRI's extensive collections, the Museum of the Earth, our new Blaschkas Exhibit and our current temporary exhibit, NY Rocks! on the rocks and fossils of Upstate New York.
This year's featured presentation, "On Blashka Models, Biodiversity, and Evolution," will be given by Dr. Leslie Babonis, Assistant Professor of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at Cornell Univerisity.
