About this Event
History is a drag. Edging dangerously close to a TED Talk for the sheer educational thrill of it, MANDRILL is an hour of comedy told in rhyme about playing dress up since the dawn of time. In just under an hour Tea Wade breezes through human history from BCE to the Barbie movie to explain why some homo sapiens are expected to wear a dress to the dance when others are supposed to wear a suit and pants.
MANDRILL premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to acclaim from audiences and critics alike. The show was short-listed for “Best Queer Performance” by BingeFringe magazine and received multiple 4 star reviews.
