You must be currently employed with a Law Enforcement Agency to attend this course.
The UT System Police - San Antonio will be conducting a 24 hour TCOLE #3702 Field Training Officer Course.
This course is offered at no charge.
The course will held at the UTSA Main Campus, Business Building - ST Room 1.01.20L. Upon approval of your registration, a map with the building location and parking will be emailed to you.
This course is restricted to local, state, federal, and US military law enforcement personnel along with other civilian law enforcement employees to include crime analysts, corrections, and probation/parole officers. The attendee should have two years of experience or approval by their department .
The Field Training Program for an agency is one of the most important training programs an agency maintains. The lack of a training program, a substandard program or a poorly run program can cost an agency millions of dollars in civil suits, loss of good personnel and the loss of a previously untarnished reputation. A well trained FTO force in conjunction with a well run program will help protect an agency from civil suits .
