The cascading sounds of Smetana’s beloved national masterpiece, a delightful 3-part Mexican folk music symphony, and the delicate, passionate, and dazzling dance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, performed by returning Artist-In-Residence, Katya Moeller.

This is a RUTH P. SEIM MEMORIAL CONCERT FOR A CAUSE event
Each season, SEISO dedicates one concert to benefit a local school music program. Named in honor of Ruth Seim — a beloved Ottumwa music educator who taught for 36 years — this concert continues her legacy of encouraging and supporting young musicians.
Last year’s Concert for a Cause raised over $2,000 for local school music programs. The more people who attend, the bigger the check! The 2026 Ruth P. Seim Memorial Concert for a Cause recipient is the Fairfield Community School District Music Program.
