Join us in person at TCG Labs Soleil Seminar to explore funding and startup options for UCSF innovators! Lunch will be provided.About this Event
• Are you researching new therapeutic hypotheses?
• Has your work elucidated a new drug target or a new way to think about an old target?
• Would you be interested in founding a company to advance your ideas?
What is TCG Labs-Soleil? TCG-Soleil is a venture capital fund and a biotech company – combining the best features of both to optimize drug discovery and development. TCG-Soleil provides the money to translate therapeutic hypotheses and IP into real therapies and all the capabilities of a top caliber biotech company.
What is TCG Labs-Soleil looking for? Exciting new therapeutic hypotheses or IP (targets or molecules) that are grounded by genetic or human data and address a major unmet need. No platforms.
Why TCG Labs-Soleil? We simplify the process to bring important new drugs to patients as efficiently as possible. You bring the idea and we bring the funding, veteran team, R&D labs, and drug discovery know-how. You receive the benefits of a start-up with none of the hassle (i.e., keep your day job!). Start turning your work into a drug today!
How does it work? Apply through UCSF Innovation Ventures. If TCG Labs-Soleil selects your proposal, we can either form a company with you as a founder and scientific advisor, dedicate at least $200,000 of funding to your lab in the form of a sponsored research agreement, or both. You receive equity. We commit to fully funding and operating the company. UCSF IV and TCG work together to complete the license.
We are accepting super simple applications on a rolling basis through July 30th under a master CDA with UCSF. We guarantee detailed feedback for every submission. We will schedule a follow-up Zoom meeting to discuss submissions of interest. Finalists will receive an onsite visit.
