During the 4 weeks, you'll have the opportunity to engage with experienced trainers and fellow caregivers, exchanging insights and experiences. Together, we will explore the key principles of TBRI, including Empowering, Connecting, and Correcting strategies.

Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to expand your caregiving skills from the comfort of your own home. Register now to secure your spot in this transformative training class!

The class is based on the research and methods developed by the late Dr. Karyn Purvis and her colleague Dr. David Cross, the founders of the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University. Dr. Purvis coined the phrase “children from hard places” to describe children who have experienced difficulties in early development. The class will use problem-solving scenarios to provide practical skills to caregivers so they can build a stronger caregiver-child connection, which leads to better behavior.

  • Understand the brain development of a child with trauma history.
  • Understand the behaviors when a child’s needs aren’t met and how they can be healed.
  • Learn to how to apply your knowledge to find the need behind your child’s behavior.

Presenter Info: The class is taught by Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) Practitioner, Ernie Casarez. Ernie is an foster/adoptive dad and advocate for foster/kinship/adopted children and assisted by his wife, Patricia Casarez who was an orphan, became a foster child then was adopted. As a couple, they have had substantial experience working with vulnerable families to find a path of hope, help and healing.
