HOW TO COPE WITH it
A 5-hours workshop with instruments from
campaigning and system thinking
While inequalities have been the centre of political conflict
in the 19th and 20th century, starting from the neoliberal
era the topic disappeared from the radars of the
mainstream debate.
In the face of polycrisis and economic collapse, neofascists and oligarchs are employing a mix of repression and media persuasion to gain power while exploiting the people.
Economic inequality and wealth taxation can be keystones to build intersectional alliances over ecological and social objectives and to address the systemic crisis we’re living.
Programme
1pm-1.30pm
Welcome session.
Icebreaker, presentations and introduction to the
workshop.
1:30pm-3:00pm:
extreme inequality as a systemic issue
The connection between wealth concentration, inequality,
climate collapse, war, democracy and well-being has been overlooked for a long time. We map it together to gather a common understanding of such a complex problem. Instrument: Soft Systems Map
3:30pm-5pm
Narratives, power and extreme wealth.
We will dig into ideas and ideologies that sustain extreme
wealth and work on how to overturn them.
Instrument: Narrative Power Analysis
5:30pm-6pm
TAXES AND THE “ECOSOCIAL MOVEMENT”
The state of the action against extreme wealth and
connections with the movement for ecological and social
justice. Examples of European and international campaigns. Call to action.
6pm: Communal dinner

The Workshop will be held by Lorenzo Barili
(@yosolulo), activist of Degrowth CPH, facilitator, and
economics student at KU.
Participation is open to everyone who wants to be active
on inequalities, especially with an international lens.
Previous experience in the topic is a plus but absolutely
not necessary. Your energy is enough.
