In English belowVabamu kutsub naistepäeval töötuppa, kus saab valmistada ziine (või zine‘e) ehk isetehtud miniajakirju. Töötuba on tasuta ning toimub 8. märtsil kell 13–15 eesti ja inglise keeles.
Ziinid ja nende tegemine on kaua aega olnud muuhulgas feministlik praktika, näiteks osana riot grrrl liikumises 90ndatel aastatel.
Töötuba viib läbi Hildegard, kes ütleb töötoa kohta järmist:
8. märtsi töötoas soovin tutvustada zine-valmistamist kui feministlikku praktikat. Nagu teame: isiklik on poliitiline. Seega võib just isiklikku lugu jutustav zine kõnetada rohkem, kui tihe teooria või kättesaamatu poliitika. Või saab ziini abil muuta teooria ja poliitika suupärasemaks, kergemini jagatavaks. Zine’i valmistamine on võimalus direct actioniks – siin ei ole mõtet, mis trükimusta ei kannataks.
Töötoas tutvume näidetega ning meisterdame-kirjutame-joonistame oma ziinid. Töövahenditeks on tint, paber, käärid, liim, omaenese elukogemus ja fantaasia. Kui pea on tühi ja pliiats umbes, pakun omalt poolt teemasid ja formaate.

Vabamu invites everyone to a zine workshop on International Women’s Day. The workshop is free and will take place on March 8th from 1–3 pm in Estonian and English.
Making zines has long been a feminist practice, for example as part of the riot grrrl movement in the 90s. You can read more about this here.
The workshop is led by Hildegard, who says the following about the workshop:
In the workshop on March 8th, I would like to introduce zine-making as a feminist practice. As we know: the personal is political. So a zine that tells a personal story can speak more than dense theory or inaccessible politics. Or a zine can be used to make theory and politics more palatable, more easily shareable. Zine-making is an opportunity for direct action – there is no thought here that cannot bear the ink of print.
In the workshop we will look at examples and craft-write-draw our own zines. The tools are ink, paper, scissors, glue, our own life experience and imagination. If your head is empty and your pencil doesn’t work, I will suggest topics and formats.
