About this Event
Vilnius has always been a multicultural city where Lithuanians, Poles, Jews, Tatars, Karaims, and many others lived side by side. Each community contributed its own flavors, traditions, and recipes, shaping the unique food culture that still thrives today.
This autumn, join our free Lithuanian Gastronomy Week educational sessions at the Vilnius Tourist Information Centre and discover how centuries of cultural exchange created the city’s rich culinary heritage. Explore Vilnius as a true melting pot of tastes and aromas – from Karaim, Tatar, Polish, Jewish, and Lithuanian cuisines – and enjoy a tasting of the famous cold beetroot soup, šaltibarščiai.
