He served as the esteemed leader of the Chianti Classico consortium for many years, tirelessly advocating for and nurturing the development of the prestigious Chianti Classico Gran Selezione appellation, widely celebrated as the pinnacle of the region's winemaking tradition. Rocca delle Macie, under Sergio's guidance, consistently crafts some of the most exquisite Chianti Classico wines, a testament to the winery's exceptional vineyards and remarkable terroir, as Pop Up Wine Co-founder, Isadora witnsessed a few weeks ago when visiting the winery.
