The two-hour class includes fascinating insights about desert plants, how to safely harvest them and how to use them to make delicious and nutritious food. Attendees get to participate hands-on in grinding mesquite bean flour and a salsa contest using processed and fresh prickly pear nopales. They also sample ten or more desert foods.
