About this Event
This is a four course pairing menu with some of the classic southern Chinese food made by a guy who is from southern China, and wants to share to the world how amazing Chinese foods are! (Especailly where I am from!)
I think most people in the east think of Chinese food as BBQ Pork, General Tao Chicken, chow mein, or fried rice. But people don't know that Chinese food has 8 major cuisines: Anhui, Cantonese, Fujian, Hunan, Jiangsu, Shandong, Sichuan, and Zhejiang.
And this menu is based on where I'm from: a small city in GuangDong province called Foshan where we specialize in Cantonese cooking. (And where Cantonese cuisine actually comes from.)
This time, I am teaming up with someone who understands a lot about tea, and we have crafted this beautiful and tasty pairing menu for you to enjoy!
This is a set menu:
Tea: Guizhou Green Tea
Canape: Wood Ear Mushroom Salad (凉拌木耳), GuangDong Style
Tea Cocktail: Oolong Sour (0°)
Appetizer: Pan-Fried Taro Cake (芋头糕), GuangDong
Tea: Cliff-style Oolong
Main: Soy Sauce Chicken Leg (酱油鸡腿), Hong Kong
Tea Cocktail: Quenched Clarified Phoenix Oolong Punch (0°)
Dessert: Layered Cake (千层糕), GuangDong
