About this Event

About this Class: Ever feel lost or overwhelmed when selecting one of the hundreds of olive oils available online or at your local grocery markets? In this class you will learn how to select, taste and pair delicious olive oils with your favorite Italian classics like caprese and focaccia. Learn how olive oil is made, its role in the history of Italy, what makes an olive oil extra virgin, and much more!

In this Chef's Tasting Class You Will:

  • Experience a expert-level tasting of a flight of award winning Italian EVOO.
  • Learn from our Scuola Chef how to pair classic Italian dishes with EVOO.
  • Enjoy several plates such as focaccia and caprese paired with wine and olive oil.
  • Learn basic history and methods of olive oil production.

Please Note:

  • Complimentary wine, cheese plate and tastings included!
  • One ticket purchase is valid for one guest
  • Seating is first-come, first-served
  • Class duration is approximate and may vary by 10-15 minutes
  • All guests planning to consume alcohol must be able to produce a valid government-issued identification to prove they are 21 or older. Non-alcoholic beverages are available.
  • Classes are also suitable for children 8+ who are passionate about Italian cuisine. Under 15 must be accompanied by a supervising adult.
  • Please notify us 48 hours in advance if you have any dietary restrictions. If we are not notified ahead of time of any special needs, we may not be able to accommodate them.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Full payment is required at the time of booking, and all sales are final. We do not offer refunds for classes or events.

If you're booking for a group of 5–10 guests, you must give us at least 7 days’ notice (not including the day of the class) to receive a credit in the form of a coupon for a future La Scuola class or event.

For groups of 1–4 guests, a minimum of 4 days’ notice is required (again, not including the class day) to receive a credit for a future class or event.

We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel any class due to unforeseen circumstances, including weather. If that happens, we will contact you using the email or phone number you provided and offer either a full refund or a credit for a future class.

Please note that we cannot offer credits, transfers, or refunds for last-minute illnesses, work conflicts, personal emergencies, or other situations beyond your control. However, you are welcome to send someone in your place if you can no longer attend.

If you're purchasing this class or event as a gift, please make sure the recipient is aware of this policy, as it still applies.

Credits issued for La Scuola events can only be used toward future La Scuola events and cannot be applied toward other Eataly events, store purchases, or Eataly gift cards.
