Community Freedive Day - Spring Dive
Come join the Tassie Freedivers for a fun and relaxed dive at Fossil Cove
Whether you're keen to explore new underwater spots, meet fellow ocean lovers, trade tips and tricks with other freedivers or just come for a snorkel or swim, this is the perfect day out

A much-loved local gem! Parking is available along Fossil Cove Drive, followed by a 15-minute walk down steep steps through light bushland (about 1 km return) to reach the rocky entrance. The site offers shallow areas for easy dives, a 10 m drop-off for depth, and the highlight is a stunning giant kelp forest to explore.
Date & Time: Saturday 4th October – meet at 10:00 AM (there’s plenty of time to mingle before we get suited up)

A few reminders:
- This is a free, casual meet-up, not a formal course or run by a business
- Please ensure you’re comfortable to look after yourself and always buddy up (you can find a buddy during the pre dive chat if you come alone)
- Conditions may change - check the discussion tab for weather/location updates
- We highly encourage car pooling to these events so we don't over crowd areas. Keep your eye on the discussion for a car pooling thread.
- Note: The only thing we take at community dives are photos, so please no harvesting of abalone, fish, or crayfish.
