Join us on Saturday, November 4th 2023 at the famous National Press Club for the 73rd Annual Tartan Ball! During this formal celebration of Scottish-American heritage and traditions you will enjoy:


  • Live performances by Society’s own Color Guard Pipes & Drums & Highland Dancers
  • Cocktail Reception & Cocktail Hour Open Bar
  • Three course gourmet dinner with wine pairing
  • Silent Auction benefiting the Washington Scots Charity and Education Fund
  • Musical entertainment & dancing


This year's Guest of Honor will be Scottish actor Brian Cox, legend of stage and screen.


Cocktails begin at 6:30 PM and dinner will be served circa 8PM. After dinner you can dance the night away. Dress code is Formal Highland Attire or Black Tie.

Founded over 250 years ago, the Saint Andrew's Society is a 501(c)(3) Public Charity. Its membership are Scottish descendants from around the Nation’s Capital who celebrate their Scottish culture and heritage, whose mission to “Relieve the Distressed” is fulfilled through charitable works through the Washington Scots Charity & Education Fund.


Tickets are fully transferrable but not refundable unless the event is cancelled by the organizers. Prices subject to increase at any time, and any ticket resale is strictly prohibited. The organizers reserve the right to exclude any participant from the event at any time, if he/she has provided incorrect information on the ticket registration form. Validation of membership status and/or age will be required prior to ticket issuance and entry. Event is adults-only, no admission for persons under 21 years of age.
