🍁 Dance style:
Tarraxo is gaining popularity across the UK and abroad, and played at Kizomba/Urban Kiz events and festivals! 🔥
Developed in the late 2010s, Tarraxo combines basic steps of Tarraxinha, Zouk, Konpa and includes upper body movement & isolations. It's a grounded dance and requires a strong connection with your partner 🫂
🍁 The Workshop:
FUNdementals workshop with a certified teacher which will equip you with the core principles, techniques and basic steps, so you can learn to dance confidently & with connection! 💃🕺
Come learn this new dance style & move to different music! 🎶 Open to all levels and no partner needed.
🍁 Schedule:
14:45 - 15:45 - 1hr Workshop with Tati + Vaso (as support)
15:45 - 16:45 - 1hr Guided social
🍁 Teachers:
Tati began her dance journey at the age of 10 with Hip Hop, later expanding into Cuban Salsa and Bachata by the age of 13. Her passion for the music and dance led Tati to become the first UK Solo Styling Champion in Tarraxo in 2023, and secure 3rd place at the Global Tarraxo competition in Montréal, Canada in 2024! Having traveled the world to deepen her knowledge of Tarraxo, she is now dedicated to promoting the growth of this style within the UK. As both a social dancer and DJ (DJ Romi), she understands the vital role of musicality in igniting a fire on the dancefloor!
Vaso is a teacher of Urban kiz and has danced Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Bellydance, Konpa, Tarraxo, Tango, WCS, Zouk Lambada, Street and contemporary) collectively for 7 years. She was a member of Borboleta's World Wide Urban Kiz Project, and placed 2nd in the Urban Kiz Solo Styling UK Open Competition 2024. She received her dance teacher certification in 2023 from Dance Revolution, an established dance school, in Sheffield and is passionate about fusing dance styles on the dancefloor!
