Unlock Your Horse’s Potential – Master Movement, Balance & Communication 22 March HAPPA's Arena Competitions & Events
Transform Your Partnership Through Targeted Obstacle Training.
Whether you’re a competitive rider or focused on building a stronger bond with your horse, obstacle-based training is the game-changer you’ve been looking for. By integrating carefully designed obstacles into your sessions, we enhance two critical foundations of equitation: proprioception (the body’s sense of position and movement) and balance – creating ripple effects that boost suppleness, clarify aids, and deepen your understanding of how your horse moves.
How Obstacles Make a Difference
• Proprioception Enhancement: Navigating obstacles challenges your horse to adjust foot placement, engage core muscles, and develop greater awareness of their body in space. For riders, it sharpens your ability to read your horse’s movements and adapt your position in real time.
• Balance & Suppleness: obstacle layouts encourage horses to flex their joints, stretch their muscles, and carry themselves with improved posture. Riders learn to stabilize their own balance, reducing reliance on the reins and refining their seat and hands.
• Clearer Communication: As you work through obstacles together, aids become more precise and your horse learns to respond consistently. This builds trust and ensures both of you understand each other’s cues – a key factor in success in any discipline, from dressage to hacking
I tailor obstacle courses to suit all skill levels, from beginners to advanced competitors. Sessions focus on:
• Breaking down movements to isolate and strengthen specific areas
• Integrating rider position work alongside horse training
