June 27, 2024 at Unity of Buffalo - Starting at 7:00 p.m.

Tara is perhaps the most popular feminine manifestation of all the Buddhas. Known to have been born from the tears of Avaloketishvara, the Buddha of compassion, she is believed to have made a strong pledge and commitment to rescue those in dire need of enlightened support and blessings especially in times of difficulties. Hence, she is popularly worshipped for her swift bestowals of wish fulfilling grace and energy.

There are traditions among the Tibetan lay community to request Tara pumas for welfare and comfort of an individual, family and society on a regular basis. A blessing of Tara is considered especially effective and appropriate for a person who may be seeking success and fulfilment of a virtuous mission.

*Prior to the Puja Ceremony, The Monks will present a lecture "The Psychology of Enlightment" from 5-6:00 p.m. - tickets sold seperetly - learn more and get your tickets here!

*The Monks are available for home/office/business blessings on Friday and Saturday, June 28th and 29th. Call or email the church office to schedule an appointment.

*The Monks will also be part of our Sunday morning service on July 2, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.

$25 presale, $30 at the door.
Buddhist gifts and goods will be for sale before and after the event.

Note: If you are offering a meal to the monks prior to the puja, do NOT offer anything with meat, eggs, garlic or onions.
