We like to think we make our own choices - what we buy, what we believe, what we value. But what if those choices aren’t really ours?
We are living in a time of division and conflict of beliefs and ideas. And yet the hidden role that advertising plays in funding and helping drive this division is not really discussed. Join Dr Dan Andrew, a 15-year veteran of the advertising industry and current lecturer of PR & Advertising at UNSW, to discuss the hidden role advertising plays in society, and how each of us are turned into a commodity created by and traded between those who create and distribute media content and advertisers.
