About this Event
Kids aged 8-14 can create their own wild wearable art in this fun-filled 1-day costume making workshop. Learn the basics of costume design and creation from award winning artist and performer Alli Sebastian Wolf of Deepsea Astronauts whose colourful costumed creatures have performed across Australia. Be inspired by the animals in our permanent collections and newest exhibition Ocean Photographer of the Year and transform recycled materials into your very own wearable designs.
Participants will bring their finished creation to life through performance and roving skills.
Suitable to all levels of experience.

- Please arrive to the registration desk in museum foyer 5-10 mins prior to the program.
- Parents/ carers will be required to sign permission forms on the day. Participants are fully supervised for this program.
- Visitors are required to bring their own lunch/snacks and wear suitable clothing, sturdy shoes and sun protection for any time spent outdoors.
- All materials for the workshop are supplied.
- No printed tickets are necessary, we will check in via guestlist.

Multi-award-winning artist and writer Alli Sebastian Wolf is an experienced and adventurous facilitator of workshops for people of all ages and abilities. They have travelled round the world teaching with organisations including Cambodian circus Phare Ponleu Selpak, and renowned international story telling organisation The Moth. Alli’s passion is helping people tap into their creativity and achieve more than they thought possible.
