Celebrating 54 years of the albums - “Tapestry and Blue” – Played Live … in their entirety …
1971 – 54 years ago – two of the most influential and renowned albums were released by two of THE greatest female composers of all time – Carole King and Joni Mitchell. The critical acclaim of Tapestry and Blue has only grown over time and these albums continue to influence songwriters across many genres and inspire young artists around the globe. To celebrate these great singer/songwriters, Judi Vinar, Rachel Holder and Lori Dokken (“THREE”) are teaming up to present these two classic recordings in their entirety in The Dunsmore Room . If you are like many of us, you have worn out several copies of Carole’s and Joni’s masterpieces.
The songs to be performed from Carole King's iconic 1971 album Tapestry features 12 classic tracks, including hits like "I Feel the Earth Move," "It's Too Late," "So Far Away," "You've Got a Friend," and "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman," alongside beloved songs such as "Beautiful," "Where You Lead," "Smackwater Jack," and the title track "Tapestry," showcasing her songwriting brilliance.
The album “Blue” is widely regarded as one of the greatest albums of all time. The songs featured are a collection of songs that explore various facets of relationships and personal experiences. Songs like “Case of You”, “This Flight Tonight”, “Carey”, “California” and many more.
