About this Event
When Israeli graduate student Teddy Katz meticulously documented an alleged massacre of Palestinian civilians during the period surrounding Israel’s independence, his work was first hailed as groundbreaking. But the acclaim quickly turned to backlash: his research was discredited, his degree challenged, and he was publicly branded a fraud and a traitor.
Decades later, new and deeply unsettling evidence emerges, lending weight to Katz’s original findings. In revisiting his story, Tantura not only reexamines his personal ordeal but also confronts broader, difficult questions about how societies — in Israel and beyond — reckon with the darkest chapters of their history.
Our restaurant will be open from 6 pm if you would like to have dinner before the film.
