The Tannahill Weavers—born from a Paisley pub session and named for the town’s weaving heritage and poet Robert Tannahill—are one of Scotland’s premier Celtic bands, blending timeless traditional melodies with the power and drive of modern arrangements. Celebrated for their tight harmonies, inventive instrumentation, and spirited performances, they’ve earned praise from the New York Times, Winnipeg Free Press, and a devoted global audience, as well as induction into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame. With a repertoire spanning reflective ballads, fiery reels, original songs, and humorous tales of Scotland, the Tannies continue their nearly 58-year legacy with members Roy, Phil, Iain MacGillivray, and Alistair McCulloch bringing world-class musicianship shaped by work on Outlander, Men in Kilts, and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.A night not to be missed at the best sounding little music venue in Chattanooga!
