About this Event
An evening of Argentine tango - music and movement, each inseparable from the other.
A new generation of dancers and musicians in New York City are finding fresh ways to make the form feel alive - honoring its roots without being bound by them. The Barrio Tango Orchestra, thirteen musicians strong, fills the room with the lush, aching sound of classic tango and the restless poetry of Piazzolla. Alongside them, Latin Grammy Award-winning musician Pedro Giraudo brings a rare depth to the night - his playing warm, precise, and impossible to look away from.
Watch as our tango dancers take the floor - two people in wordless dialogue, close enough to share a breath, each movement an act of trust and tenderness. Two bodies asking and answering, in the language of touch.
