TANDEM HANG GLIDING
Hang gliding grants man his primal wish to soar with the condors. Since recorded thought man has dreamed of having wings and hang gliding makes that dream come true. Imagine flying like an eagle. You are thousands of feet above the earth’s surface. Although the air is brisk, the view is stunning and the feeling is exhilarating. You seek out updrafts of air to keep you flying so that you marvel in the view for as long as you can. This is hang gliding. The morning will start with a safety briefing and instruction, and you will be towed in a tandem hang glider to 2,500 ft above ground with an 'USPHA' rated tandem instructor at your side, then release to fly freely like a bird and land safely on wheels. They video each flight with an on board camera. (Video costs additional $40)
TANDEM SAILPLANE GLIDING
Ever want to fly or glide a plane without an engine. Here is is your chance. The introductory rides give you the opportunity to fly with an FAA certified commercial pilot or instructor. Choose from either our basic trainer or high performance glider. A rugged single engine tow plane will tow you to approx 2500 feet above ground level (AGL) where you will pull the release and experience free flight!
There are over 20,000 FAA licensed glider pilots in the US, over 100,000 world wide. Soaring exists in every state in the nation including Alaska and Hawaii. National Distance record - Out and return 1023.42 miles, April 25, 1983 flown by Thomas Knauff from Ridge Soaring, PA. National Altitude Record - 49,009 ft, February 17, 1986 flown by Robert Harris from California City, CA. World Speed Record over 100KM triangle - 135.09 mph, March 3, 1997 flown by James M. Return: After lunch expect to be back in Midtown NYC around 6:00 PM
Cost: Tandem Hang Gliding: $209 with $59 deposit. Bring balance of $150 cash on the event date. Video CD costs $40 additional. Tandem Sailplane Gliding: High Performance Ride $149 with $49 deposit. Bring balance of $100 cash on the event date. Please bring $5 cash tips for the hang gliding / sailplane gliding instructors. Much appreciated!

Refund Policy: * $20 processing fee if cancelled 2 weeks prior to the event date * Afterward, no deposit refund for cancellation or no show; however, spots can be transferred to your friends with $20 processing fee * Full refund if the event has to be cancelled by us
