Formed in 1989, The Mavericks were known for seamlessly blending country, Latin, rock, and rockabilly. Under the leadership of vocalist Raul Malo, the band achieved decades of success, earning Grammy awards and a loyal following, solidifying their place in American and Latin music history. They performed their final shows in December 2025, just days before Malo tragically lost his battle with cancer at age 60.St. Petersburg band Talk To Mark is carrying forward the extraordinary legacy of these genre-bending pioneers with a special evening’s tribute to the Mavericks and their music. Talk To Mark is a rock n’ roll band from St. Petersburg whose energetic live shows and versatile repertoire have made them a mainstay on the bay area scene for over 20 years. In that time the band has graced some of the most prominent stages in the Tampa Bay area, with numerous festival credits including Tropical Heatwave and the Little Manatee River Jam.
