Tatiana Falcon (Instituto de Investigaciones Estéticas, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) discusses her research on the production of natural pigments and the use and meaning of color in Ancient Mesoamerican art. She has taught contemporary painters in Xalitla, Guerrero, Mexico, how to harvest and create natural pigments based on ancient recipes utilized in Mesoamerica. This talk is free and open to all. 🌺🎨Please note this event takes place at Chalmers Hall.
