About this Event
“Talk Plant to Me” is a studio series where we work with our hands, one plant at a time. Either grown in our studio garden or locally-abundant, we explore a plant through making colour pigments, adhesives, binders, fibres, and/or other unexpected material experiments.

Do you know that a Mulberry plant has many cool qualities aside from her delicious fruits? In this hands-on studio and semi-outdoor session, we will learn about the Mulberry (Morus alba) through colours, teamaking, and fibres.
The session begins with a short sharing on our encounters with this plant in Singapore and through other studies.
Through the mulberry, we will be learn how to extract colour pigments, roast leaves for tea, and taking a glimpse into paper fiber making.
We hope you will leave with plantiful impressions of this versatile plant, and also some new making skills.
