Talk: Mini-food forests: edible perennials for home gardens and allotments with Christine Marsh, Plants for a Future(PFAF) incl. Plant Swap!
About this Event

Christine will be talking to us about perennial plants suitable for creating mini food forests in small gardens and allotments.

She will discuss the various plants’ growing conditions, size & structure, their food crops & other uses, and their role within a food forest system - a form of vegan-organic polyculture which produces food and draws down carbon at the same time.

Christine is a trustee/director of Plants for a Future, a charity dedicated to researching and providing information on ecologically sustainable horticulture.

The PFAF website offers a fantastic free-to-use information database of over 8,000 edible and useful plants, mainly perennials. Copies of their latest publication will be available on the day.

Also tonight the group holds its annual Plant Sale so bring your surplus plants & seedlings & bring cash to buy more to fill gaps!

Tickets on sale from 9th May (earlier for members - look for the AOG email in your inbox)
