Mike Kelley’s presentation covers one dramatic year, beginning on Christmas Day 1065 and concluding on Christmas Day 1066. He explores the pivotal events of that year, which ultimately changed England forever.
Mike is a qualified teacher who taught history in a comprehensive school for ten years. He is also a mechanical engineer. Combining these qualifications, he became a Training Manager for Middle Eastern and African oilfields for 30 years. During this time, he experienced three wars, was evacuated by the French Foreign Legion, witnessed a gas plant explosion, and was held captive by Al Qaeda in Yemen.
