Studio Director, Lucy Attwood, with Artistic Director and SPL Resident Potter, Gregory Tingay, will be holding an 'in conversation' with the ceramicist artist Michel Francois.
About Us
Studio Pottery London is a light-filled and spacious workshop for all who are attracted to making with clay, from absolute beginners to more experienced potters. Set up by Lucy Attwood (Studio Director) and Gregory Tingay (Artistic Director) as place of calm and community for city-dwellers to come together to learn and create.
About the Artist
Following his recent commission with Studio Pottery London for the newly refurbished suites at The Dorchester, acclaimed potter Michel François will showcase a new series of sculptural pieces, inspired by his works for the iconic hotel, at Studio Pottery London. As part of London Craft Week 2024, Michel will also be co-hosting demonstrations that show his approach to hand-thrown pottery and his unique glazing techniques which incorporate Feldspar and Cornish stone with ash from local Cornish trees including chestnut, ash and beech.
