Join British art historian and author Katy Hessel for a presentation of her recent book, How to Live an Artful Life, prior to its US release. A limited number of copies of the title will be available for purchase that evening.
Katy Hessel is an art historian and author of The Story of Art without Men (2022), a Sunday Times and New York Times Bestseller, and the winner of Waterstones Book of the Year 2022; How To Live An Artful Life (2025) featuring a quote by an artist or writer for every day of the year; and The Story of Art without Men: An illustrated guide to amazing women artists (2026), her first children's book. She runs @thegreatwomenartists, an Instagram account that has celebrated women artists since 2015, and writes a regular column for The Guardian. Hessel hosts The Great Women Artists Podcast, where she has interviewed 160+ artists and writers, including Marina Abramović, Tracey Emin, Ali Smith, BarbaraKruger, Hilton Als, Elif Shafak, and more; Death of an Artist: Krasner and Pollock, a series about the legacy of Lee Krasner; and Dior Talks – Feminist Art.
