Seward Child Care Center and Seward Neighborhood Group are co-hosting the Zero Abuse Project's Talk About Touches for Parents session.
General Description:
This training is geared for parents and caregivers of preschool and elementary school aged children. This 90-minute session gives the building block tools on how to talk about personal body safety in a way that is empowering and effective.
Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will be able to utilize the tools provided to have non-fear based safety conversations with their children.
2. Participants will be able to identify effective safety skills to use within their own family or students.
3. Participants will be able to compare helpful phrases for safety that don't elicit a fear response with ineffective fear based tools.
