Performance session featuring Takuya Takemoto from Tokyo and Tam Thi Pham from Hamburg.
Through subtle movements and sensations, Takemoto’s performance questions what it means for a person to stand in front of a person in a performance. Since 2017, Takemoto has been performing daily, with or without an audience, at a community center in Tokyo. His performance evolves continuously as he listens to himself and his ever-changing surroundings.
This event marks the first collaboration between Takemoto and Tam Thi Pham. Pham's Dan Bau playing embodies a performance that attentively responds to the present moment and environment, which are constantly in flux. During this session, Pham and Takemoto will engage in a dynamic interaction, listening to the spaces and to each other, creating an immersive exploration of the environment.
