Start the year, turning a spotlight on the practice of Metta (loving kindness). In Buddhist teachings the practice of Lovingkindness is a powerful practice to water the seeds of care, warmth and kindness within our bodies, minds & hearts, both towards ourselves and others.The Buddha taught this practice as an antidote in particular to fear and hostility. As we ride the often chaotic waves of being human, the practice of lovingkindness offers a powerful way to orient towards a heart of love and presence. Simply holding the intention for care and friendliness can dramatically shift how we relate towards ourselves and others.
During this evening workshop we will explore cultivating Metta, through mindfulness meditation practices, and also explore ways of weaving this powerful practice into our everyday lives.
There will be time for a cup of tea and connection within community.
