Join Field Studies Ireland for a 2.5-hour outdoor workshop exploring how nature can be used as a powerful tool for wellbeing through place-based education.
Set in Hazelwood Forest, Sligo, this practical and engaging session is designed to empower educators to confidently use local nature and biodiversity as a resource for supporting wellbeing.
Participants will explore simple, accessible activities and approaches that encourage deeper connection with the natural environment. They will also receive a comprehensive pack of activity resource cards (digitally) to encourage future application of learning.
This introductory workshop is ideal for both formal and informal educators, including teachers, youth leaders, community educators, environmental practitioners, and anyone who leads others outdoors.
Expect a hands-on, activity-based session with lots of dicussion, exploration, and inspiration to help you bring nature-based wellbeing into your own setting.
