Instructor: Emy from Earth to Emylia CeramicsCalling all coffee coffee coffee lovers!! Join us during the Gilmore Girls Market: Saturday at Stars Hollow to handbuild a to-go coffee mug that even Luke would be proud to serve you coffee in! Instructed by the incredibly talented Emy of Earth to Emylia Ceramics, and in collaboration with The Grind, you’ll take a slab of clay and transform it into your new favorite coffee mug. This mug works well for hot coffee on the go but with the addition of a straw, also works perfectly for iced coffee. This project is designed for beginners to intermediate hand-builders. All needed tools and materials are included in this workshop, as well as all firing required to make your piece functional! We're also partnering with our neighbors within the warehouse, The Grind, so each finished piece will come with a free coffee coupon to redeem at their Common Ground location for any drink.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of clay, hand-building, slipping, and scoring to bring your cup to life. After it’s built, we’ll handle all of the firing and dip glazing (you’ll get to pick which one we do for you!) and we’ll let you know when it’s ready to pick up with your coffee coupon.
Ages 16+, pre-registration required.
Please wear clothes you’re okay getting messy and consider wearing minimal jewelry (especially rings and bracelets).
