About this Event
Folk is the music of a people. It celebrates the stories and movement of our ancestors — refrains passed down through generations as well as contemporary songs that look back and reflect universal truths.
The things that will remain even if cities fall and worlds collapse.
Take Off Your Folkin’ Clothes is a monthly event for bridging cultural divides to find what connects us. Combining music, dance, and variety entertainment with the sharing of knowledge and practical skills of those that came before us, we hope to look back to the past in order to push forward into a more cooperative, post capitalist future.
And also share a lot of fun and have a folkin’ good time!
Every fourth Sunday at Bar Redux, 801 Poland Ave.
Doors at 8pm
$10 suggested donation to compensate performers for their artistry and time, but NOTAfLoF!!!
