💜'TAKE BACK THE TRACK' - CASTLEMAINE 2026💜Community walk/run along the Campbells Creek Trail, followed by a whole community gathering and picnic.
9.30am - 1pm
Sunday 15th February
Campbells Creek Park > Castlemaine Botanical Gardens
An inclusive community event in support of the freedom and safety of women and gender diverse people who love to walk and run on local roads, tracks, and trails.
'Take Back the Track' is a national campaign initiated in 2025 by Sissy Austin a First Nations woman living on Dja Dja Wurrung country.
As a community we will walk and run to raise awareness, build community and say enough is enough to the violence, harassment and intimidation experienced by far too many women and gender diverse runners and walkers.
Last year over 150 communities across the country organised events as part of the inaugural national Take Back the Track day, with over 1000 people participating nationwide.
Over 200 people joined our first Take Back the Track in Castlemaine, with participants from all walks of life, from serious runners to gentle strollers, from young families, to teens, to our elders.
Join us! ‘Take Back the Track’ Castlemaine is for everyone!
