🌿Join Yukayeke Yara Cu as we honor Ataabey - Mother Earth & Cosmic Mother - with a Spring Ceremony & Yuca Planting Workshop!
🌿Come enjoy workshops on how to plant Yuca and more. Bring your Maraca! We will dance Areyto and bless the plants with ceremonial dance for all to take home!
🌿For the Taino, the Spring Season begins with the Spring Equinox, and is marked with celebrations of gratefulness for the Spring rains that bring new life to the Earth.
🌿During this season, Attaabey (Atabey) invites us to plant not only new seeds into the Earth but into our lives.
🌿Our Spring Gathering will take place in the Batey of the Puerto Rican Cultural Center, 701 Tillery Street, Austin TX.

Yukayeke Yara Cu (Tribe of the Sacred Place) is a Taino Yukayeke of blood descendants and Guaytiao (friends) proudly serving Central Texas. Since 2008, our Cultural Center defends and shares Taino Heritage everyday. JOIN US!
