BRING YOUR MARACA & BEACH CHAIR!
Join our Taino tribe, Yukayeke Yara Cu, as we hold a very special gathering to celebrate Indigenous Heritage. This year we are excited to host the esteemed Taino Behike Miguel (Sobaoko Koromo) Sague Jr. who will be sharing traditions from his Caney Indigenous Spiritual Circle (Pittsburgh).
As each year, we invite the community to celebrate with us in Taino tradition, including an opening ceremony led by our Kacike Tekina-eirú, as well as an afternoon of joyful Areyto -- ceremonial dance for all!
So bring your maraca and beach chair, and join us for this "once in a lifetime" Indigenous Heritage gathering in the Batey under the Pecan Trees of the Puerto Rican Cultural Center, 701 Tillery Street, Austin TX 78702.
