Join us for a unique 12-week Tai Chi in the Park experience in Naperville, where mindful movement and the healing energy of nature come together. Practice gentle, flowing Tai Chi surrounded by fresh air, sunshine, and the peaceful sounds of the park. This uplifting outdoor experience helps reduce stress, improve balance and flexibility, boost energy, and bring a deeper sense of calm and well-being.
This course will guide you through the most popular Tai Chi sequence, the Form 24, known for its flowing, meditative movements. Qigong Meditation will be practiced in the beginning of each class to relax and cultivate energy.
Throughout the program, you’ll learn:
- Fundamental Tai Chi principles and techniques
- The full 24-form sequence, a widely practiced form that is both beginner-friendly and rewarding for advanced practitioners
- Techniques for enhancing mental clarity, reducing stress, and promoting relaxation
- Safe, low-impact movements that improve physical health and balance
By the end of the course, you will have a strong foundation in Tai Chi and the confidence to continue practicing on your own or in a group setting. No prior experience is necessary—this course is open to all fitness levels and ages.
Program Details:
- Duration: 12 weeks
- Sessions: Once per week, 12 classes, 45-50 minutes per session
- Location: Seager Park, in case of the rain or bad weather we will be at Saha Yoga in Lisle
- Cost: $160 for 12 classes, $130 if senior /60+/
- No class on 7/1. Last class on 8/19, unless instructor gets sick or something unexpeted comes up. Outdoor class, weather permitting, with back up location at Saha Yoga in Linle /4-5 minutes from the park/
What to Bring:
Comfortable clothing for gentle movement /dress up for the weather/
A bug spray /yes, there will be mosquitos /
