Join us for an intensive one-day Food Safety Supervisor course designed specifically for members of the Home Economics Institute of Australia (HEIA).This course equips you with the essential knowledge and skills to oversee food safety practices in educational settings, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students.
Course Overview:
This comprehensive one-day course covers all the critical components of food safety, tailored to the unique needs of Home Economics educators. You'll delve into:
- Monitoring and recording food hazards
- Understanding organisational food safety programs, procedures and documents.
- Monitoring food safety techniques
- Minimising the risks of food contamination.
In order to be issued a Statement of Attainment for the SITSS00069 Food Safety Supervision Skill Set, a student must successfully undertake the following accredited unit(s):
SITXFSA005 Use hygienic practices for food safety; and
SITXFSA006 Participate in safe food handling practices.
Upon successful completion of the day and required assessments, participants will be awarded the SITSS00069 – Food Safety Supervisor certificate, a nationally recognised certificate from a well-recognised and trusted provider.

Who Should Attend:
This course is ideal for Home Economics teachers who are members of HEIA and are responsible for food preparation and safety particularly where food is regularly and frequently prepared and sold but is open to any HEIA member who would like to stay above and beyond the requirements to keep yourself and the young people in your care as safe and informed as possible.
Registrations on the day open at 8am. Regency Tafe, Regency International Centre, Meeting at the Results Cafe. Parking can be located adjacent to B Block.
