What is a Book Club?
It is a gathering of people who read a book then gather to discuss the book to share their insights, questions, and opinions. The core purpose is to allow for a deeper understanding of the book’s story and theme and get a richer understanding of the nuances than might have been gotten from independent reading.
How does it Work?
Each member obtains a copy of the book – most of the books we discuss are available on audible; they are nearly all available in print from Amazon – and reads it prior to the Book Club meeting. The discussion can be lively and thought-provoking, engaging others with challenging ideas in a respectful setting. Your perspective might be broadened.
What are the Books being Discussed?
All the books discussed so far have been in the same genre, related to our world: the mindset and preparedness. Suggestions for specific books are always welcomed.
Where and When are the Meetings?
We meet in Browning Hall, the new meeting space at King Shooters Supply. The group meets once a month on a Thursday [check the flyer or our calendar for the specific date each month] from 8:30a-10a. Access is from the back parking lot.
