Taco ‘Bout Real Estate Tuesday: From Tension to Trust in City Entitlements
Join us on Tuesday, April 15th for Taco ‘Bout Real Estate Tuesday as we dive into a conversation every developer knows well—the entitlement process. This month’s event is all about shifting the mindset around working with cities, from friction and frustration to trust and collaboration.
We’ll hear from Chase Andrizzi, Director of Entitlements at , one of Utah’s most respected land development companies. Before stepping into private development, Chase served as City Attorney for both Ephraim and Herriman, giving him a rare perspective on how things work on both sides of the table.
Chase will break down his intentional, relationship-first approach to working with key stakeholders—from planning and zoning departments to engineers and city councils—and how to turn what’s often an antagonistic dynamic into a productive, forward-moving partnership.
Whether you’re a developer, investor, or landowner, this session will offer real, applicable insights for navigating entitlements more effectively and with greater trust.

About Chase Andrizzi
Chase Andrizzi serves as General Counsel and Director of Entitlements at DAI, one of Utah’s most respected and active development firms. In this dual role, he leads entitlement efforts and manages legal strategy across a portfolio of over 10,000 residential units and hundreds of acres of industrial and commercial property.
Before joining DAI, Chase spent years on the municipal side of development. He served as City Attorney for both Ephraim and Herriman, where he worked closely with elected officials and staff to manage entitlements for large-scale master-planned communities. While in Herriman, he played a key role in negotiating a 900+ acre mixed-use development that resulted in approvals for 6,000+ residential units and helped establish some of Utah’s first public infrastructure districts.
Chase began his legal career at a boutique municipal law firm, advising towns, cities, counties, and special service districts across the state.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University.
With extensive experience on both sides of the table—serving cities and now representing a leading private developer—Chase brings a uniquely well-rounded perspective to land use strategy and stakeholder collaboration.
