Symbiosis
Symbiosis is a concept in TA similar to dependency/co-dependency and has its roots in the Cathexis School of TA. In this workshop, we will explore:
- How symbiosis can be illustrated structurally using ego states
- The developmental origins of symbiosis
- How symbiotic relationships can be helpful and unhelpful
- How symbiosis can disrupt and progress therapeutic progress

Transactional Analysis (TA) is a theory of personality, child development and social interaction which can be applied to various different contexts, including counselling & psychotherapy, education and organisation management.
In this series of workshops, we will be exploring various basic TA concepts and how they might apply to ourselves and others.
