Getting here
Tāmaki Pātaka Kōrero | Central City Library is in the heart of the city at 44–46 Lorne Street. There are plenty of ways to get here:
🚍 By bus/train
Many main bus routes stop nearby on Symonds Street, Wellesley Street and Queen Street. From Britomart Transport Centre it’s about a 10-minute walk up Queen Street.
The InnerLink bus also stops close by on Wellesley Street.
🚗 By car/parking
The closest parking buildings are the Civic Car Park (entrances on Greys Ave and Mayoral Drive) and the Victoria Street Car Park (entrance on Victoria Street West). Both are a short walk to the library.
Limited metered street parking is available around Lorne Street and Wellesley Street, but it can be busy.
🚲 By bike/scooter
Bike racks are located outside the library on Lorne Street. E-scooters are also available throughout the city for short rides.
