Deák Dorottya és Tóth-Heyn Áron ‘Tökéletes Jelen’ című közös kiállítása az idő nyomainak rögzítési lehetőségeit és korlátait vizsgálja, más-más nézőpontból és eltérő fotográfiai formanyelvet használva. A nyomokat különböző felületekre vetítve keresik, legyen az a város és a társadalom szövete, a test és az idegrendszer által behálózott agy, vagy az ‘én’ percepciós folyamatai. Deák, aki jelenleg a MOME Fotográfia Tanszék végzős hallgatója, és Tóth-Heyn tavaly diplomázott alumnus az itt bemutatott munkáikkal a 2025-ös OFF Bratislava Fesztivál programjának résztvevői voltak.
Deák Dorottya ‘Budapest két napja’ című, két könyvből álló fotográfia-szöveg projektje a város életének szubjektív lenyomataként a fikció és a valóság, a kimerülés és a túlcsordulás, valamint a személyes és a politikai beszéd összefonódásait vizsgálja. Az első nap keretét George Perec 1974-es kísérleti regénye „An Attempt at Exhausting a Place in Paris” ihlette. A kimerítés fogalmát a város tereiben értelmezve, Deák 24 órán át, éjféltől éjfélig rögzítette a várossal való találkozás és az időnek kitett rögzítő ‘én’ tapasztalatait. A második napon, 2024 október 23-án a megemlékezések gondolati és vizuális tereiben vizsgálta újra a várost.
Tóth-Heyn Áron ‘In Presence’ című munkájában azt a jelenséget vizsgálja, hogy a pillanatot valójában soha nem közvetlen jelenében érzékeljük. Mire eljut tudatunkig, már múlttá lesz. A történés és az észlelés között mindig időrés alakul ki. Az agy fizikai rendszerként a jelenben létezik, és prediktált jövőket alakít múlttá. Tudattalanunk múlt, jelen és jövő között mozog. Mindannyian különböző múltakat hozunk létre, és ezekből a jelenben jövőket jósolunk ugyanazon elkerülhetetlen fizikai törvény szerint. A bemutatott képek fémlemezekre készített acetonos lézernyomat transzferek.

A joint exhibition by Dorottya Deák and Áron Tóth-Heyn, ‘Present Perfect’ explores the possibilities and limitations of capturing the “moment” from different perspectives and by using distinct photographic languages. They seek these traces of time by projecting them onto various surfaces, be that the fabric of the city and society, the body and the brain itself, or the perceptual processes of the “self.” Deák, currently a final-year student of the Department of Photography at MOME, and Tóth-Heyn, a graduate from last year, both participated in the 2025 OFF Bratislava Festival program with the presented works.
Deák Dorottya’s two-part book project ‘Two Days in Budapest’ created a photographic and text-based snapshot of the city on a regular weekday and a public holiday. The first day, inspired by George Perec’s experimental novel ‘An Attempt at Exhausting a Place in Paris’, looked at the idea of exhaustion within the framework of the city. For 24 hours, from midnight to midnight, Deák recorded her experience of navigating through the public spaces of Budapest. On the second day, the 23rd of October, when Hungarians commemorate the 1956 revolution, she examined the city through the multi-layered perspectives of a national holiday.
In his work, titled ‘In Presence’, Áron Tóth-Heyn reflects on how we never perceive a moment in its present. As an instant reaches our consciousness, it has already become the past. Our brain is a physical system that exists in the present, constantly converting predicted futures into the past. The unconscious moves across the past, present, and future. Each individual creates different pasts, lives different presents, and, based on these, predicts different futures, according to the same physical principle, which we cannot escape. The exhibited works are laser-print acetone transfers on metal plates.
