Syracuse Actors Studio: Long Form Improv with Aaron Buitron

Aaron has been a member of various improv groups in CNY for years and has a number of improv actor friends joining him to teach this session. We are excited to see what Aaron’s got up his sleeve! Come find out!
We are excited and grateful to call The Palace Theatre our new home for the Syracuse Actors Studio (S.A.S.) We are thrilled to be hosting S.A.S.'s monthly events in this beautiful historical theatre! Come early to grab some concessions and drinks, network, and socialize. You can purchase beverages or food either with cash, a card, or mobile pay.

Performances are back this session! If you would like to do a monologue or scene, we’d love to have you! Limited spaces available: first-come, first-served. Please email Joe Cunningham [email protected] a headshot if interested. We ask that they be no more than 3 minutes long and, if possible, memorized, so we can have multiple performances.

We have a few event night volunteers, but are looking for more. We need help with setup/breakdown/cleanup; welcome committee; tech support; photography; catering; and merch. If you’d like to volunteer, contact our VP Laura Stisser at [email protected].

As always, at the end, we will have a small amount of time for announcements if anyone wants to plug a show, announce casting, or the like.

To support S.A.S. events and our host, The Palace Theater, we ask for donations at the door instead of charging an event fee. We also have a QR code you can scan to donate to SAS with your phone.
We are also offering "Sponsored Tickets," which means you can donate as a sponsor and, if your donation is $50 or more, you will receive a mention at the event in front of our audience. Please consider this option.
Lastly, we have merchandise leftover from SASFest for sale; proceeds from SASFest posters support SAS, and proceeds from the films support the filmmakers and fund film festival runs for some films. THANK YOU!

Syracuse Actors Studio is always a free monthly meetup for actors where we learn from and practice acting with each other. Actors of all experience levels are encouraged to attend! Filmmakers, writers, playwrights, producers, casting agents, and observers are also welcome.SAS is open to all. We ask that actors under 18 be accompanied by a parent or guardian for safety purposes. We also note to parents/guardians that some performances or materials may have adult language or subject matter.
